Three common analytics techniques in use

Three common analytics techniques in use

Traffic sources

There are 5 ways to track Traffic analytics e.g. Organic, Direct, Referral, Social and Paid. All of these are great ways to track your traffic but I feel like the best option out of all of these Is Social. I feel like Social is so diverse in how you can get people to click on your website and YouTube channel or what ever platform you are wanting to promote it is really easy to copy the link to your website and make a social media post with the link In the comments or in your video/image. (Dickey, 2017)

Types of visitors and customers

There are 3 types of visitors and customers e.g. New, Returning and non-returning. All of these are very important you want to try and get the new users becoming the returning and you want to keep your returning customers engaged into your product so they do not become an non-returning customer. These are very important to analyse to check how many new people there are coming to your website and how many come back for more of your product and who is leaving. (Dickey, 2017)

Traffic geographical location

Traffic Geographical location is a very good way to see what countries come on your website the most e.g. people from Germany go on your website the most but do not buy anything or just go off your website. This could be coused by lack of usability with users that are German maybe it’s the colours or the text language that you are written your website in. this could be looked at in a positive way as well e.g. UK users buy the most products. This can be a very effective way to see what type of users your website is targeting at.  (Dickey, 2017)
